Everyone that missed this show really missed out on a nice time, in a beautiful city, under gorgeous weather. Many of us met up at Cracker Barrel and drove up Hwy 1 to the show. The weather was great with morning temperatures in the low 70′s. I’m not sure how many cars were in the show, but I would guess around 80 or so. I’ve posted some pictures for those of you who missed out.

Now, I need to get my clothes ready for Cruisin’ the Coast!

Our next club meeting is September 18, 2007 at 6:30 PM at Logan’s. Mike LeDuc assigned people to committees at the last meeting. We need door prizes, door prizes and more door prizes. If you know of a business that will donate anything, hit them up. We will have flyers at the meeting Tuesday that you can leave at area businesses. A block of rooms has been blocked off at the casino for the car show; however, they are $140.00 a night. Call and book your room now if you need one. Everyone should try to make the meeting.

I’ve posted pictures from the 2007 Central Louisiana Hotrod Reunion that was held this past weekend at England Airpark in Alexandria, La. Congratulations to Mr. Johnny Perry for his Top 7 finish with his ’55 Prostreet Belaire. There were a lot of nice cars and trucks to compete with. Relive the 50′s on Front Street in Historic Natchitoches on September 29, 2007. There will be a car show, open to ’72 and older vehicles from 9:30 – 4:00 on Front Street. There will be a DJ playing music from the ’50s and all the merchants along Front Street will be there in their ’50s attire. There will be a sock-hop and dance from 4pm to 6pm in front of The Exchange Bank. Following the dance, there will be an outdoor movie presented, “Grease”.

There will be a group of us going to the show. Anyone interested in having breakfast should meet at The Cracker Barrel on Airbase Road and I49 around 7:30. The plan is to leave Cracker Barrel at 8:30, drive to Boyce and drive down Hwy 1 into Natchitoches.
