This car is still for sale.

Are you interested in owning a fairly unique classic car? Do you dream of driving around in one of the cleanest cruisers ever, with heads turning to follow you as you drive by? Well, look no further!

Mr. Robbie Long has his 1966 Pontiac Acadian Canso Sport Deluxe for sale. The Acadian was built by Chevrolet for Pontiac of Canada. The body and styling of this car matches the Chevy II Nova of the same time periods.

Only 552 Sport Deluxe cars were produced in 1966. Only 321 of these hardtops had the v8 options. This car has a very tricked out 283 powering a 2-Speed Powerglide.  Check out the pictures by clicking the gallery below.

I just tell you in writing how clean this car is. Feel free to contact me should you have any questions.  Joe.

2008 Cruisin’ Southern Style at the Paragon

The 2008 Cruisin’ Southern Style car show has come and gone. We had 116 registered vehicles at the show this year. Thirteen club member’s cars and many cars that did not register gave us a total of nearly 140 vehicles. Every car, truck, and even motorcycle in the show was awesome. The weather was great: sunny blue skies with the temperature in the low 70s made being outside enjoyable.

As always, the burnout competition was the event highlight. There had to be at least 500 people around the barricades watching our six entrants smoke down their tires. There are plenty of pictures of the burnout in the gallery below.

Here’s the winner of the burnout: Cruisin Southern Style 2008 - 152.JPG

The Southern Style Cruisers classic car club would like to thank everyone who took the time to bring their cars out for this show. We want to thank all the people who stopped in to enjoy viewing the cars. And finally, we want to thank all the sponsors that donated door prizes, money, or prizes. I will be putting a complete list of sponsors here in the next week along with a total raised for the “I Wish” Foundation!

Take time to check out the 241 photos I took during the show. Feel free to download any picture that you like! If you’re using the photo in any type of literature or website, please link back to www.southernstylecruisers.com.

Once again, a GREAT BIG THANK YOU to everyone who came!!!

Cruisin’ Southern Style at the Paragon – Update

I apologize for not being able to get updates about the show out quicker.

  • We have chosen the Louisiana State Police’s Make-A-Wish Foundation as the charity to which all proceeds will go to.
  • There will be marked off parking for Friday night. Somewhere close to 50 parking spots will be available and watched over for those who are driving their car to the show.
  • We still are planning on holding the burnout but will make the final decision upon participant sign-up.

We are hoping for a very good attendance this year. Last years weather really hurt. We had cars at the casino that were never removed from the trailers because of the rain. We’ve all got our fingers crossed for some sunny skies.

Please let us know if you have any questions and we look forward to seeing you there!

Cruisin’ Southern Style – Update Pictures

The show has now come and gone. I do believe that everyone had a wonderful time at the show. Many of the vehicles showed up on a beautiful Friday evening. Rain on Saturday morning may have kept a few people from making the trip. However, after the sky cleared up, we were left with a beautiful day.

The members of the Southern Style Cruisers would like to say THANK YOU to everyone who made the trip and helped make the show a success. I will be posting the total donation to the Make-A-Wish Foundation once all donations and proceeds are counted.

Take a look at the photos I’ve posted. Please let me know if you would like any of the photos in a higher resolution. I’ve shrunk the images in the gallery down to 800×600 to ensure quick browsing and viewing. Keep checking back as I’ll post some video of the burnout and a few more images.

Until next time, keep on cruisin’.

Cruisin’ the Coast 2007

Cruisin the Coast 2007 has come and gone. I had a great time and enjoyed hanging out with everyone and meeting the many people with similar interests. I’ve got a lot of pictures that I’ll be posting in the next day or so along with a few comments about the abundance of police officers cruising the streets and writing tickets in Biloxi. Keep watching, it’ll all be up soon.

Joe
